LAHORE - The Tehreeke Hurmat-e-Rassol, which is an umbrella group of Pakistan’s religious parties, including the banned Jamaat-ud-Daawa (JuD) held a protest march in Lahore condemning the publication of offensive cartoons of Jesus Christ in Meghalaya.
The group held a protest rally in front of the Lahore Press Club during which people were seen holding JuD’s flag and placards condemning the publication of caricatures.
During the agitation, people also chanted slogans against India and the publisher of the cartoons, The Daily Times reports.
The protestors also asked the Muslim world to cut ties with New Delhi and demanded that India should be declared a ‘terrorist country’. (ANI)
