SSB conducts social welfare camp in West Bengal

SILGURI - The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has conducted a three day long Samajik Chetna Abhiyan at West Bengal’s Kishanganj District to make the local public and youths aware about the government policies.
Addressing the gathering SSB Staff Officer (Operations) S. Karamkar asked the public to support the SSB who are guarding not only the Indo-Nepal border but also joined hands with the public for development of the border area.
“The SSB is the organization taking care of not only for people along border but also rendering free treatment to the livestock of the locality so that villagers can improve their economic condition through their healthy livestock,” he said.
The SSB has donated colour TV sets, TATA Sky dish set, cricket kit and carom board set under Human Resource and Social Development Program to the schools in the region.
Addressing the gathering, Kishanganj MP Maulana Ashrarul Haq Kashmi congratulated the SSB for not only generating the sense of security, patriotism, but also for serving the border people with various social schemes.
“The SSB has now come to the doorstep to us protect from the anti social elements and criminals along the Indo-Nepal border.Therefore we must support them in all aspect so that they can do more for your locality,” he said.
The SSB has also organised health camp as well as veterinary camp as part of the mela (ANI)
