MELBOURNE - A US psychologist, who had a long-standing sexual relationship with a female patient, is said to have billed her health insurance company every time they made love.
According to 10 Connects, documentation from the Florida Surgeon General’s Office revealed Dr. Daniel R. Lerom, 49, of Tampa, and his former patient, known only as HK, had oral sex and intercourse in hotel rooms, his office and the patient’s home.
And each time they had sex, documents say, the doctor would bill her Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance for their “sessions”.
The doctor, who is now facing a private lawsuit from the former patient, is said to have sent her lurid text messages.
“My body felt great all over after last night,” the Daily Telegraph quoted the doctor’s text as stating.
“I wish you were here in the shower with me to warm me up. If I were there, I would rub you and kiss you all over,” he had added.
The doctor even referred to himself as her “Red Hot Lover”, or RHL for short.
Sources revealed that documents show Dr Lerom began counselling the woman in 1995. In February 2009, she broke off her engagement and began having a relationship with the doctor.
When the doctor’s wife found out, he ended the alleged affair.
The woman was institutionalised shortly afterwards, as she had reportedly suffered a mental breakdown.
No criminal charges have been laid against Dr Lerom, as no report has been sent to police or state authorities. (ANI)
