HALDWANI - An NGO, “Navchetna”, stages a motivational workshop in Haldwani for 109 differently abled children to bring them to the mainstream of society.
The intent of the institution is to impart education and boost the confidence of the physical impaired children and spur them to pursue their dreams in life.
” We are trying to provide them with education and make them self-reliant by my making them do jobs. So that these children don’t feel helplessness and impaired but they should feel that they too are gift of god and can contribute like able people do.” said Father Pais, director of Navchetna.
To make the kids realise their goal and make them independent, the NGO pays their school and coaching fees.
“I have been associated with the institution for last one year. The director has given lots of facilities to me. They pay my school and coaching fees. We are participating in sports activities today. I have no regret that I am physically impaired.” said Sonu, a differentially abled child.
The functionaries of the outfit also counsel the parents, to fully support and encourage these children.
The organisation is working in nine districts of the Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh to make such children self-reliant. (ANI)
