HOWRAH - A powerful bomb contained in a jerry can was found in Howrah railway station on Thursday, but it was defused before it could cause any damage.
According to sources, a vendor noticed the jerry can lying abandoned on platform and informed the railway police, which immediately cordoned off the area.
“The bomb contained chemical compounds immersed in kerosene oil and sharp metal shrapnels,” said ADG (Railways) Dilip Mitra. (ANI)
