Manali tourists and hoteliers welcome fresh snowfall

MANALI - A fresh spell of snowfall brought cheers on the faces of several tourists and local hoteliers here in Manali.
The delighted hoteliers now expect an encouraging turnout of tourists, who are expected to arrive here to experience the snowfall over the next couple of weeks.
Tourists, many of whom are first timers, braved the cold winds and dipping temperatures, trudging through snow-covered roads.
Divesh, a tourist from Mumbai said that he was delighted to see the snowfall since such an enchanting moment is never witnessed in his coastal city.
“I belong to Mumbai and watching snowfall is like experiencing my biggest joy,” said Divesh.
Another tourist, Ajay mentioned that he has plans to visit this paradise of place once again over the next fortnight.
“We have been to other places but we have never seen snowfall. It’s an enchanting experience and we will visit this place within 15 days once again,” Ajay said.
Manali, located at an altitude of 2,000 meters and surrounded by lofty peaks doubles up as a winter gateway for tourists from adjoining plains, who rarely get the chance to experience snowfall. (ANI)
