NEW YORK - US Senator Scott Brown has defended his days when he dropped his clothes for the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine.

The newly-elected Massachusetts Senator said the raunchy photos from his college time helped him launch his public career.

“If I hadn’t done that … I never would have been sitting here with you,” the New York Daily News quoted him as saying in an interview with Barbara Walters on ABC News’ “This Week.”

He added: “I was 22 years old there and thrust in the spotlight because of what I did with the Cosmo thing.”

The 50-year-old lawmaker even said he would not oppose if his own daughters chose to pose naked and “would leave it up to their discretion.” (ANI)
