FAIZABAD - Forest authorities in Uttar Pradesh struggled for five days to nab a deer that had strayed into a girls’ college.
Classes at the government-run women’s college in Faizabad were disrupted since January 27, after the authorities realised that a deer has strayed into the college premises.
College authorities immediately informed the local forest officials who, after struggling for five days, finally decided to take help from forest officials from Lucknow.
“We were vigilant throughout and immediately, when the officials were able to tranquillise the deer, we trapped him in a cage and sent him to be released in the forest,” said, O. P. Singh, District Forest Officer.
Authorities believe that the deer might have stayed into the city due to heavy fog in the area. (ANI)
