RAE BARELI - Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has reviewed the progress of work at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, estimated to have been built at a cost of Rs500 crore.

Gandhi went around the construction site in Jais area and directed the workers to hasten the construction work.

The locals too were overwhelmed to meet him and interact with him.

“Rahul Gandhi came to visit this institute to check the construction work and directed the employees to finish the work as soon as possible. He said that with the construction of this institute, the development of this region will speed up and more and more children will be able to go to schools,” said Santosh Prajapati, a local.

He visited some villages to analyse the execution of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act in the region.

He also gifted an ambulance to the Astha Mahila Sanstha, a self-help group (SHG) of women. (ANI)
