A unique friendship between a mongoose and a toddler in Uttar Pradesh

FAIZABAD - In a unique tale of friendship, a child in Uttar Pradesh’s Faizabad district has befriended a mongoose, and plays with the animal.
An eight-month-old child named Abhishek is the talk of the town, as the locals see him mingling with the mongoose.
Anita, Abhishek’s mother is excited about the friendship.
“Sometime, the mongoose slips under the bed sheet of the child and they keep on playing. They even eat together,” she said.
Amarjeet, a neighbor of Abhishek, said that mongoose only plays with Abhishek and not with other children in the locality.
Mongooses are a family of about 30 species of small carnivores from Eurasia and Africa. (ANI)
