Daughters tell Oz leader Abbott to keep his “virginity gift” advice to himself

MELBOURNE - Oz Leader of the Opposition Tony Abbott has revealed that his daughters tell him to keep his views on virginity to himself whenever he starts advising others about it.
Abbott, 52, who is a staunch catholic, spoke about women saving their virginity for marriage in the Australian Women’s Weekly, and also about what he expected his own daughters to do.
“Well they should be very careful about doing things that they might regret and doing things that might in the long run cause them to have less self respect and less respect for others than might be the case,” the Daily Telegraph quoted him as saying.
Abbott admits that he is a “pretty lousy role model”, especially after it was made public that he believed for 25 years he had fathered a child to his university girlfriend. It was later revealed the boy was not his.
“When I start to get on my high horse and say don’t do this or don’t do that they said, ‘Well, Dad you did all of those things’, and of course they are right, I did,” he added. (ANI)
