NEW DELHI - The stunning balancing acts of the Border Security Force’s (BSF) motorcycle display team, Janbaz, thrilled spectators at the Republic Day parade here Tuesday.

As a BSF trooper standing on a 350 cc motorcycle, with his hands free, rode past the audience and saluted President Pratibha Patil, the excitement among children and adults alike was palpable.

Another BSF daredevil sat high up on a ladder balanced on his motorbike pretending to read a magazine. The children clapped and stood up. One BSF personnel came riding with his back towards the motorcycle handle, leisurely reading a newspaper.

More came in costumes to depict a bouquet of flowers replete with butterflies - a soft touch by the tough border guards.
