SHIMLA - A snowfall on Wednesday morning brought smiles on the faces of people of the city, including tourists.
Despite a reduction in temperature on account of the snowfall, people were seen playing around in the snow.
“It feels really good. Till yesterday we were not expecting that we would get to see the snowfall, we were thinking that our trip would come to an end without us seeing the snowfall. But it feels really good, we are enjoying a lot,” said Kavita, a tourist.
The sudden snowfall took the people by surprise.
“This is the first time I have enjoyed snowfall so much. I have come to Shimla before but never have I experienced such snow,” said Nadeem, another tourist.
I have come with my wife, but today it snowed suddenly and it is a surprise for us, a gift from God, and it feels really good after coming here,” he added.
Places like Kufri, Fagu, Narkanda, Manali and Dalhousie also experienced snowfall early morning.
The snow has also brought smiles on the faces of the fruit-growers, who had incurred losses last year due to lack of adequate snowfall.
The snowfall is also expected to boost tourism. (ANI)
