Chennai hosts Water Expo

CHENNAI - An international exhibition of latest equipment for water treatment has opened in Chennai.
The four-day-long expo ‘Everything About Water Expo 2010 technologies’ showcases products from India and 20 foreign companies.
Senior General Manager Five Bro Water Services, Raju Bhambhani, said the expo gave a platform for exchange of ideas and know-how on latest products.
“In this exhibition most of our competitors are participating, they are displaying their products here. So we can physically see the products, nowadays a lot of information is available on the net but we can physically see their product and may be interact with them and find out what are the new additions they have done,” said Bhambani.
So we will also try to improve our products in that direction and bring in the latest technology,” he added.
Whereas Joy Lee, a participant from Taiwan, said that the expo provided an opportunity to different companies to showcase their products in an expanding market.
“I think India now is a very large market especially for industries and water resources are very important and now water is deficient and this exhibition has provided opportunities to different companies from different parts of the world,” said Lee.
The expo displays products and expertise from domestic and international companies and associations specialising in water treatment, wastewater management and all other related industries.
Over 300 companies have exhibited their products at the water expo, which has so far seen more than 20,000 trade visitors.
The Water Expo that began on Saturday (January 9) will come to an end on Tuesday(January 12). (ANI)
