MELBOURNE - Almost three out of every four Aussies plan to “hook up” with someone on New Years Eve, a poll has revealed.
The survey of 1,615 people by adult dating site RedHotPie.com.au saw nearly half the respondents confessing to having a one-night stand on New Years Eve.
About 48percent people even admitted to having sex with a pal to celebrate New Year.
Nearly 13percent people reported being in a threesome and 11 per cent in a “moresome”.
As many as 68percent Aussies say their chances of getting laid are better this time than last year.
Fifty six percent said they would be happy to have sex anywhere, 12percent wanted the act on a beach and 10percent wanted to have a romp at home.
“It’s not surprising so many of us end up in bed with one or more friends after consuming copious amounts of drink on New Year’s Eve,” the Couriermail quoted RedHotPie.com.au spokesman Geoff Barker, as saying.
He continued: “Over a third of our respondents are planning to spend more than 100 dollars on booze this evening.
“When you combine this with reflection on the past 12 months and our hopes for the future, it’s very easy to seek comfort and contact from those close to you.”
He added: “If you do sleep with a friend, make sure you talk about it, when sober, as soon as possible to agree how you both want to move forward.
“You never know, what started out as a drunken episode, could be the beginning of something more special for 2010 and beyond.” (ANI)
