Detroit, (Gaea Times)- Flight 253 of the Northwest Airlines was under the seize of a terrorist attack on the Dec. 25. Thankfully, a roundup of the terrorist attack in Detroit revealed that there had been no deaths as a result of the attack, although two of the passengers had been injured. The attack had taken place when the flight, bound for Detroit from Amsterdam, was about to land. According to a passenger, Syed Jafri, who was returning home from the United Arab Emirates, he smelled smoke, and the next minute, three was the sound of an explosion, shaking the plane. Panic ensued as a young man who had been sitting right behind Syed Jafri jumped on him.
The terrorist attack in Detroit roundup shows that the attack had been thankfully thwarted. However, the attack has gone on to raise some more alarm regarding the Afghan militant group Al Qaeda. The man who had been arrested in this incident, a Nigerian named Abdul Mudallad, claimed that he had been paid by the Al Qaeda to carry out the attack.
The United Sates has raised alarms about the terrorist threats posed by the militant group. On the other hand, these mindless attacks have caused anger in communities other than the Americans. The head of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Michigan, Victor Begg, showed his ire by commenting that it is necessary for the people of the country, irrespective of communities, to join hands in the battle against the mindless atrocities committed for political aims in the guise of religion, as proved once more in the terrorist attack in Detroit roundup.
