MUMBAI - Mumbai Police watches out for rave parties ahead of New Year celebrations.
The anti-narcotics branch is keeping tab on invitations over media and the Internet.
“We have kept a special watch on the invitations given via net. Wherever such invitations come we will conduct a raid there,” said Sunil Pawaskar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Anti-Narcotics Cell, Mumbai Police.
“We will be using saliva detector test. In this we don’t have to test every one, we test only the suspected people. There it can be easily diagnosed who has taken which drug. We are trying to get some new instruments also so we will try to crackdown on the rave parties also,” he added.
In recent years police have raided rave parties around the New Year in a growing number of cities, particularly Mumbai and Pune. (ANI)
