Golden Christmas crib of Kerala

THRISSUR - A jewellery shop in Thrissur in Kerala has come out with an expensive golden crib using latest fashion ornaments and precious stones to create a Christmas mood for customers.
A total of 10 kg gold worth 2.5 crore rupees has become the centre of attraction and masterpiece, not only for customers, but even for the shop owner, who is proud of his workers effort to create it.
It is the effort of the shop owner and his few workers, which resulted in such a magnificiant crib inside the jewellery showroom of Jose Alukkas in Thrissur Round.
Jose Alukka, Chairman and managing Director of Jose Alukkas Jewellery showroom said: “The whole purpose of the golden crib is to be a part of the ongoing Christmas celebrations and also to wish people a happy and prosperous Christmas ahead. To make this golden crib we have used around 10 kg of gold ornaments and also precious stones. It is the whole hearted effort of the every worker in our shop, which resulted in such a beautiful crib and I am proud of them all”.
Various and latest fashion ornaments including presicious gems and stones are used to create the crib mounted on top of a huge golden candle.
Apart from diamond and ruby the crib is created with emerald and many jewellery imported from Singapore and other countries.
The Christmas crib is a scenic representation of the birth of Jesus Christ. Churches and Christians usually have elaborate displays made of clay, bamboo and rice straws to recreate the little towns around the manger in Bethlehem complete filled with colourful animals and shepherds.
