Christmas brings a wave of happiness with peace returning in Tripura

AGARTALA - With Tripura gradually moving towards normalcy and peace returning, local people here are in a joyous mood on the occasion of Christmas, the biggest festival of the world commemorating the birth of Lord Jesus Christ.
People irrespective of their religious identities were busy on Thursday evening with last minutes purchasing of gifts and greeting cards to wish their near and dear ones while a lot of them were interested in buying X-Mass Cakes.
In market, the shops are all festooned with lots of colourful goodies like stars, lanterns, fresh chocolates, Christmas hampers, Santa soft toys, decorative Christmas trees and greeting cards.
People say that the spirit of Christmas strengthens the values of brotherhood, love, and tolerance. It gives the message of Lord Jesus Christ to promote peace, unity and harmony in society and develop mutual understanding for the overall development of mankind.
A peace march was also organised for Christmas to spread among people the message of this holy festival. (ANI)
