SILIGURI - Left Front leaders have condemned the Maoists for Friday’s train mishap in West Bengal’s West Midnapore District.
Addressing a rally organised by the Darjeeling unit of Communist Party of India (Marxist), West Bengal’s Urban Development Minister Ashok Bhattacharya said: “All Maoists are getting support from the Congress party. When we said this earlier they denied this. Now what will they say? There is no security. We have been saying since many days to give security to the passengers.”
Without mentioning names, he further said there are representatives and sympathisers of the Maoists who are a part of the Central Government and its organs.
“We are saying that unless and until the representatives of the Maoists are not taken out from the cabinet, Central Government will never be able to fight against the Maoists in a proper way,” Bhattacharya said.
Sixty eight people died and about 200 were injured in the incident. (ANI)
