Spice Jet Makes Emergency Landing

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- A Spice Jet aircraft on a flight schedule from Delhi to Srinagar was forced to make an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Monday afternoon. Reportedly, the Spice Jet aircraft SG224 was spotted missing out some parts of it tyre as the plane took off from the Delhi Airport.

The airline officials told the media that the Spice Jet flight was on its way to Srinagar as it took off from Delhi. Following the take off, the Airline authorities noticed that there has been a tyre bust and some of the tyre debris was lying on the runway of the airport. Following the incident they immediately informed the Spice Jet pilot about the same who called for an emergency landing.

The officials further declared that the emergency landing was a precautionary measure by the Airlines to ensure the safety of the passengers on board. They said that Spice Jet is always concerned about the safety of the passengers and therefore they felt that it would be wise to call for an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The Spice Jet flight SG224 was carrying 188 passengers on board out which two were infants. The Spice Jet authorities informed about the incident to all passengers and it was also declared that there will be an alternate flight that would carry them to the same destination. Spice Jet authorities told the media that there shall be an official investigation on this matter and everybody in charge of the plane and on duty officers shall be answerable to the investigating committee.
