STORY: The search for the crashed Air India Express plane’s Black Box is on in India’s southern Mangalore city.
The Air India Express plane had crashed early on Saturday (May 22), killing 158 people.
The black box or the digital flight recorder is yet to be recovered by authorities, as that could hold vital information about what caused India’s worst aviation accident in years.
The Air India Express plane crashed outside the airport in India’s southern Mangalore on Saturday at around 6.30 am (local time).
The plane burst into flames after it overshot the tabletop runway and plunged into the forest below. Only eight of 166 people onboard survived the crash, which happened as the aircraft arrived from Dubai.
