Veturi Sundararama Murthy Dies At 75

Veturi Sundararama Murthy was a resident of Kollur village in the district of Guntur where he was born. Living in a family of scholars, Veturi Sundararama Murthy took to writing at an early age. Before he became a prominent lyricist of the Telugu Film Industry, he worked as a journalist for a while in “Andhra Prabha” and “Andhra Patrika” in the early phase of his career.
Veturi Sundararama Murthy also wrote quite a few books on literature as well as on music. His poems were converted into lyrics for Telegu movies. It didn’t took long for a talented soul like Veturi Sundararama Murthy to impress one and all in the film industry. Veturi Sundararama Murthy’s first success came along with the release of “Adavi Ramudu”. Following that he continued to pen down great lyrics for the Telugu films and even bagged the National award for his song “Raalipoyye Puvva Neeku Raagalenduke” which was featured in the movie “Matrudevobhava”. Veturi Sundararama Murthy also wrote numerous short stories which got published across many magazines and newspapers of the nation. Many prominent figures of the music industry will be attending the funeral of Veturi Sundararama Murthy.
