DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Akshaya Tritiya which happens to be one of the most celebrated occasions in the Hindu Calender is turning out to be a major session of disappointment for one and all. The Railway Services for three major routes namely the Central, the Western and the Harbor shall be stopped on a temporary note owing to the railway track maintenance work. As an obvious consequence, all passengers who have planned out a journey on Akshaya Tritiya is destined to face problems with the service of the trains.

The track maintenance work for the Central Line shall affect all train services operating in between the stations of Mulund and Matunga. As it was informed by the Railway Officials that the work has started from 11 am in the morning and shall come to an end at 4 in the evening. As per the Harbour line, the maintenance work follows a similar time schedule as the Central Line and all trains regulating in between Vashi and Belapur shall be affected. The Western line however shall witness a smaller duration of maintenance work which is scheduled to commence from 10.35 am and shall be completed within 3.35 pm following which the train services shall be restored.

Srinivas Mudgerikar who happens to be the co-ordinating chief for Central Railway told the media that Railway apologizes for hampering the journey on Akshaya Tritiya but it has to be taken into consideration that the maintenance works were urgent and necessary for railway tracks to save them from damage. He also added that the Railways shall regulate a couple of special trains which shall run from Vashi-CST to Belapur-Panvel stations to lessen the hassle faced by thepassengerson Akshaya Tritiya.
