BANGALORE, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Children love playing with toys and if the toy is good for the development of their brains, then mothers will love them too. This is exactly what ‘Srishti’, a toy laboratory in Bangalore kept in mind when it came up with its idea of “creative toys”. The Srishti, Bangalore unit comprises students who have passed out from the Srishti School of Art, Design, and Technology, this in Bangalore too.
Although the project is still at its infant stage, representatives of the laboratory say that they will chiefly make use of waste material like cardboard and used wood, but in some cases the newest technology may also be put to use while manufacturing the toys. The Srishti, Bangalore toys will thus range from an insect tracker in the shape of an inverted periscope, to puppets which will perform, and from books on animation to books that will make use of technology and a good plot while narrating a story to children.
Anders Sandell, who is at present is the head of Srishti, Bangalore is of the opinion that the toys which will first be manufactured only on an experimental basis, will combine to test not only the child’s physical but also his mental abilities. He further explains that a toy from their factory will be manufactured in such a way that the child can make use of his or her creative powers.
This group in Srishti, Bangalore involved in the making of these toys comprises 11 students and they promise to invent such toys which will make science more interesting for the children of Bangalore.
