MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- MOEF (Ministry Of Environment And Forests) has recently gone ahead to have proposed that all electronic product dealers and manufacturers will be considered under the E waste disposal policy which gains grounds with the idea that any and all such e waste products should be offered for a recycling before permanently disposing them off.
Not only that, the ministry also said that the manufacturers shall have to take up the initiative to build collection centers for the e waste disposal process. It was also said that all hazardous materials shall have to identified with proper as well as registered dismantlers and recyclers. The Ministry is of the opinion that such a fool proof process of e waste disposal is extremely necessary to ensure that no one and nothing is being harmed on planet earth and everyone can reside in a healthy environ. According to a senior official with the MOEF each and every single entity that makes up the whole of the e waste goods is said to be carcinogenic. This is a very important thing to be taken into consideration and the matter has to be dealt with care.
The official said that the draft proposal of MOEF shall exclude all individual consumers. In case of MNCs which are supposed to be the biggest e waste goods generator no excuse shall be entertained and they shall have to go ahead and dump their e wastes into the authorized e waste collection centers soon to be set up all across the nation.Following thedecisionof MOEF, Greenpeace, which happens to be one of the most active organizationsworking towards the betterment of environment have congratulated the government for the decision.
