WASHINGTON, (GaeaTimes.com)- With the declaration of all selected industries to come up with their reports on Green House Gases, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) speculates that not much data concerning the green house gases emission can be regarded as a business information that shall remain confidential to the agency. In this regard, EPA has gone ahead to issue a draft rule to the White House Office of Management and Budget to figure out exactly what data regarding the green house gases emission should be filed in the report. Reportedly, it was told that all the selected industries shall file their annual reports on Green House Gases mission in the year of 2011 before EPA.
It’s speculated that although the Clean Air Act is targeted to bring out the real figures of green house gases emission, EPA shall make sure that certain internal figures aren’t filed under the public report book. Up till now only the oil and natural gas companies fell out of the green house gases emission report but now EPA has also gone ahead to include their name under the list. American Petroleum Institute representative Bill Bush supports the idea because he feels that these green house gases emission data is an exclusive and confidential one which demands utmost privacy.
As a matter of fact the rule had been enforced with strict orders coming from Congress which is reminiscent of EPA’s Carbon Dioxide Regulation proposal which has been into the muddy waters of controversy. Environmental Defense Fund attorney Pamela Campos told the media that she is in full support for such an effort that shall not only curb down the percentage of green house gases but shall also help to keep a track on Greenhouse Gases Emission.
