KERALA, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- ONGC has come into spotlight once again though it is for a controversy. For one more time it has not allowed the engineering and science graduates from Kerala to sit for it’s recently announced All-India Graduate Trainee Recruitment Examination. The notice for the upcoming exam was given on Wednesday. It has not given any examination center in Kerala. ONGC is known as a PSU that gives industry high remuneration to its employees. Apart from the 4 metro cities in India it has allocated entrance examination centers in cities like Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Guwahati and Ranchi. However, it seems quite strange that it has not announced an exam center in Kerala where there are a large number of talented engineers and science graduates who are looking for a PSU job.

The new ONGC Recruitment notice reveals that there are openings for 447 candidates hailing from the streams like Management, Engineering, Science and other disciplines. There are some seats reserved for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories. An ONGC spokesperson said that the number of vacancies might be increased. The political leaders of Kerala are miffed over the issue and they have said that they will take up this issue with Murali Deora, the Petroleum Minister. Some political outfits in Kerala have also threatened an agitation if a center is not allocated to Kerala.

The ONGC Recruitment details can be found at the site and a PDF form is also there in the site. The date of the written test has been set on June 20, 2010. The job is a lucrative one and it also comes with several additional benefits apart from fat pay package.
