A look at Coca-Cola Co.’s regional 1Q results

Here’s a look at how Coca-Cola Co. fared in each region in the three-month period ending April 2:

EURASIA & AFRICA: Unit case volume up 11 percent, net revenue up 21 percent. Soft drink unit volume grew 9 percent, lagging behind growth of 24 percent for juices, teas and other still beverages. India led growth with a 29 percent case volume increase, followed by Turkey with 18 percent. Russia’s case volume fell 1 percent.

EUROPE: Unit case volume flat, net revenues up 7 percent. Germany’s case volume grew 5 percent, and the Nordic Region case volume increased 2 percent. Spain, and the Adriatic and Balkans region saw continued weakness.

LATIN AMERICA: Unit case volume up 4 percent, net revenues gained 15 percent. Brazil led growth with case volume up 12 percent, while Mexico’s fell 2 percent on unseasonably cold weather.

NORTH AMERICA: Unit case volume down 2 percent, revenue down 6 percent. Coca-Cola Zero posted double-digit unit case volume growth. Uncarbonated beverage case volume down 2 percent

PACIFIC: Unit case volume and revenue both up 5 percent. China led growth with a 6 percent increase in unit case volume. Japan’s unit case volume fell 3 percent, an improvement from the prior two quarters.
