PUNE, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Lufthansa India flights have been called off as the major airliner is trying to gather in all facilitates for Boeing 737 down the very same route. It is due to the refurbishment that all flights from Pune to Frankfurt have come to a halt and shall only resume from April 25. Lufthansa India has refused to accept any bookings for any flights on April 18, April 20 and April 23.

Lufthansa India is undergoing some major changes both in terms of aesthetics as well as management. Lufthansa India will be revamping the interiors of the flight and also re configuring all seating arrangements for business class passengers. Reportedly, all flights of Lufthansa India routed from Pune to Frankfurt will now be a combination of economy class and business seats altogether. Axel Hilgers who happens to be the director for Lufthansa Asia informed all that the sudden change in the flight plans for Lufthansa India is due to the interior works and reconfiguration of the seats which will witness a mix and match of business and economy class where the business class shall have 32 seats and economy class will have 60 seats as per the accommodation has been planned.

The Pune Frankfurt flights happens to be an international service from Lufthansa India where the flights are being operated from Lohegaon Airport which was initiated way back in the year of 2008. By that time Lufthansa India had been operating B-737 aircraft which had the capacity of 50 business class accommodation. Later, six more were introduced. Recently, Lufthansa India have gone ahead to cut down their number of flights operational from Pune to Frankfurt. It was earlier operational for six days a week which was later brought down to three days.
