Japanese woman gang raped in Gaya

GAYA - A 25-year-old Japanese tourist was gang raped by five unidentified men at Bodh Gaya in Bihar on Saturday.

According to police, five men pulled the woman out of an auto-rickshaw while she was going to the Gaya Railway Station and committed the crime at an isolated place.

Gaya Superintendent of Police, Sushil Khopade informed that the victim lodged an FIR with the Amawa Police Station.

The Japanese woman is a resident of Itabolutachi in Tokyo and is currently on a tour of various Buddhist pilgrim towns in India.

Khopade said police have detained two persons for interrogation in this connection.

Police also conducting raids at various places in the town to arrest all the culprits. (ANI)
