Obama’s job approval rating hits all-time low of 46.1 percent: Poll

WASHINGTON - U.S. President Barack Obama’s approval ratings have hit an all-time low, polling data suggests.
According to RealClearPolitics.com, in polls conducted between March 23 and April 10, a paltry 46.1 percent Americans approved the job Obama is doing as president.
Obama enjoyed his highest job approval ratings thus far in February 2009, when an average of 65.5 percent approved of his performance, The Daily News reports.
Meanwhile, a Fox News poll revealed that the opposition to Obama-backed new health care law has increased from 39 percent to 54 percent.
The poll also found that more voters would punish rather than reward incumbents who voted for the health care bill, and that the Democratic win did nothing to energize the party faithful for the midterms.
Obama’s current rating among Democrats (80 percent) and independents (38 percent) are among his lowest ratings with these groups. He is now in single digits among Republicans (seven percent).
By comparison, former President George W. Bush’s approval among Democrats went as low as four percent. (ANI)
