Summary Box: Sugar rises from 11-month low

HITTING BOTTOM? Sugar prices rose Monday following a two-month tumble on concerns that Brazil will produce a huge crop this year. Analysts say the market may have hit bottom.

SUGAR’S LOW: Sugar hit an 11-month low last week after falling nearly constantly since early February. The drop came after concerns about supply eased.

SUGAR’S HIGH: Sugar is still far from the 29-year high it hit on early February. The May contract traded as high as 29 cents per pound then.
