Summary Box: Wheat prices fall on abundant supply
WOEFUL WHEAT: Wheat prices have hit a low for the year Thursday, hurt by abundant global supply, light demand and moderate weather. Wheat for May delivery fell 9.5 cents, or 2 percent, to settle at $4.665 a bushel. The previous low was $4.69 a bushel on Feb. 3.
NATURAL GAS APLENTY: Natural gas tumbled 4 percent after a government report said supplies, which were already plentiful, now are 8 percent more than the five-year average.
RISING METALS: Gold, silver and copper all settled higher.
