Summary Box: Commodities markets have quiet day
GOLD FALLS: Gold prices fell about 1 percent, following several weeks of gains, as the dollar gained against other currencies.
MIXED BAG: Energy prices were mixed. Crude oil inched up while natural gas fell on concerns about abundant supplies and warmer weather on the way.
GRAINS: Corn, soybeans and wheat were also mixed as traders await a government report Wednesday to update supply and demand forecasts.
