“Freaknik: The Musical” Aired

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- All the fans of much acclaimed musical artist T-Pain were in for a treat on Sunday night when the cartoon special “Freaknik: The Musical” produced and created by the rapper was aired on Adult Swim last night. Adult Swim is the late night programming block of Cartoon Network which features program fitted for adult audiences. Anticipation regarding the show was running immensely high among the audiences which resulted in the show receiving wide viewership.
“Freaknik: The Musical”, a spoof of the spring break festival held in Georgia, Atlanta between the early 80’s to the late 90’s. The show basically focuses on the resurgence of the rather wild and unruly music festival which was immensely popular back then. The musical special with its high dose of entertainment quotient surely managed to fulfill the expectations of the large number of fans of the reputed rapper who had tuned in to watch the much anticipated show. At the same time, all the fans of T-Pain had an added bonus for themselves as the musical artist rendered his voice in the cartoon special as Ghost of Freaknik Past.
Apart from the singer, other entertainers who gave their voice to the musical include Lil Wayne, Young Cash, Rick Ross as well as Sophia Fresh, with comedy artist Charlie Murphy and Andy Samberg providing the other voices. Overall, cartoon special “Freaknik: The Musical” was immensely enjoyed by the viewers and turned out to be a delight to watch. Although the musical was scheduled to be premiered last year, when it finally did, it was well received by the viewers.
