Michelle Obama insists home is “news-free zone”

WASHINGTON - US First lady Michelle Obama has said she tries to stay away from news on television at home, as she wants to formulate her own opinions based on her experiences.
Obama, however, told Fox News host Mike Huckabee that she will watch the channel this weekend to catch their interview.
In the interview, Obama said she reads news clips for the headlines, “but I tend and I try to keep home kind of news-free zone.”
“You know, it’s sort of like when you work above the shop, you can’t just bring work home,” Fox New quoted Obama, as saying.
She further said that she has learned to leave work at the front door, and ask the President to eat dinner and unwind with his daughters at the end of a long day.
As for President Barack Obama, his spokesman has said in the past that he tends to stay away from watching the news at night, though he spends a lot of time surfing the political blogs and online news publications. (ANI)
