Summary Box: Ticketmaster’s Springsteen refunds

THE AGREEMENT: The settlement with the Federal Trade Commission requires Live Nation Entertainment Inc.’s Ticketmaster unit to refund money to people who bought marked-up tickets to 14 Bruce Springsteen concert tickets last year.

THE FINDINGS: The FTC says Springsteen fans who tried to buy concert tickets encountered a “no tickets found” message on Ticketmaster’s Web site and were redirected to its TicketsNow.com resale site to buy tickets that had been marked up.

THE MONEY: The refunds could go to thousands of people and ultimately total more than $1 million.
