NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com)- In the Westminster Dog Show 2010, the “Best In Show” prize was taken away by Sadie, the Scottish Terrier. Four years of age, the Scottish Terrier had been accompanied to the show by Gabriel Rangel, her handler. Sadie took away the title of the “Best In Show” beating tough competition. She was chosen by the judge of the show, Elliott B. Weiss, to be in the final round of the “Best In Show” competition from among three others in the Terrier Group- a Norwich Terrier, a fox terrier and an Airedale Terrier.
Besides winning the “Best In Show” title at the Westminster Dog Show 2010, Sadie also took home the prize of the Best In Breed. She was in fact being considered to be one of the favorites at the Westminster Dog Show 2010, and it was expected that she would be taking away the top prize of the “Best In Show”. However, since competition was tough, the outcome of the contest could not be predicted with certainty. Sadie had to compete against six other canines to become the top dog in the country: a Puli, a Doberman Pinscher, a Toy Poodle, a Whippet, a French Bulldog and a Brittany Spaniel.
In order to be in the final round up of the “Best In Show” competition, Sadie had to oust the three others who were chosen by the judge from the Terrier Group, always considered to be a favorite at dog shows for its breed of small in size, but spirited dogs. After winning the “Best In Show” crown at the Westminster Dog Show 2010, Sadie’s itinerary will be full for the days to come, as she visits the various talk shows on television.
