Terrorism fostered by Pakistan affects both nations: Pallam Raju

NEW DELHI - Minister of State for Defence MM Pallam Raju on Tuesday said Pakistan has to realize that terrorism that they foster affects them as much as it affects India, adding that both nations stand to lose.
Speaking on the seminar organized by the PHD chamber of Defence Expo-2010 on ‘The Indian Army: Next Generation Systems, An Evolution’, Raju said Pakistan should deal with the entire spectrum of terrorism in an evenhanded manner.
“India will not be worried by any threats and the country knows how to handle any eventualities,” he added.
On the blast that ripped Pune’s German Bakery on Saturday evening, Raju said. “I won’t be able to give a specific answer, but I think whatever information is available, it will be processed and appropriate action will be taken.”
Replying to the threats faced by the Australian players prior to their participation in the third edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament, Raju said that sports should stay away from terrorism.
“It is very sad that terrorism is sort of going beyond certain limits and trying to threaten peaceful limits, which brings the community of nations together,” added Raju.
Raju claimed that India would make a big success of the Commonwealth games.
On the steps taken by Pakistan to control terrorism, Raju said, “I think Pakistan is facing miserably in trying to differentiate. They are trying to say that there are good terrorists and bad terrorists, which is bad.”
Raju emphasizing the dialogue process between India and Pakistan said, “I think it is important that dialogue is continued with neighbours in the interest of the neighbourhood and the region.”
India as a responsible nation always tries to have a channel open for dialogues, because that is the only way to settle matters, claimed Raju.
“I hope that the multi-industrial complex and the power sectors in Pakistan realize the truth and act on it in a responsible manner,” added Raju. (ANI)
