Shopping mall owner Simon Property Group Inc. has made a $10 billion takeover bid for rival General Growth Properties. Here are highlights of the two real estate companies:

Bottom line: Earned $91.5 million, down 37 percent from the prior-year period.
Revenue: $1.03 billion, flat from prior-year quarter.
General Growth Properties:

Bottom line: Lost about $118 million versus a loss of about $21 million in the prior-year quarter.
