Breakdown of Philip Morris Intl’s 4th-qtr volumes

Here’s how the number of cigarettes shipped by Philip Morris International changed between the fourth quarter of 2008 and fourth quarter of 2009. The company makes Marlboros, Parliaments, Virginia Slims and other cigarettes for consumption overseas.

— Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa: 76.7 billion, UP from 75.6

— Asia: 56.9 billion, UP from 55.4 billion

— Latin America and Canada: 28.2 billion, DOWN from 28.7

Total: 218.2 billion, UP from 217.2 billion in 2008
