LONDON (GaeaTimes.com)- The latest news updates show that Apprenticeship Week which has started from February 1 Monday will stay till February 5 Friday, 2010. The week is organized by the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS). It is going to celebrate the skills and talents of apprentices. According to news reports, the week will see the coming together of a host of apprentices, providers, employers, as well as those who are involved with Apprenticeship programmes. They will together celebrate the value of Apprenticeship.
The latest news reports stated that national and regional activities will be taking place on each day. The focus will be different on different days. The themes will be on ‘Competitive advantage,’ ‘Benefiting directly,’ ‘Ambition,’ ‘Apprenticeships driving business’ and ‘Community A Team.’ According to the organizers, the aim of the Apprenticeship Week is to bring in positive messages about Apprenticeships, to involve employers with the positive aspects of employing and supporting apprentices in their workplace, to create noise around Apprenticeships with the wider public, to highlight the range of Apprenticeships available in different sectors and progression routes as well as highlight the increased number and range of Apprenticeships available in both the private and public sector.
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Gordon Brown is supporting Apprenticeship Week 2010 according to news. He has supposedly congratulated all those taking part in Apprenticeship. The organizers said that this attempt will encourage young people as well as their parents in raising awareness about Apprenticeship in order to highlight their entry into a very successful career. The News show that the Apprenticeship Week 2010 is going to encourage all the people involved in Apprenticeship to carry out their communication activities.
