Vikaram Srivastava to head CRPF, Bhatia takes charges of ITBP

NEW DELHI - The Union Home Ministry on Monday appointed senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Vikram Srivastava as Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
Vikram Srivastava is the younger brother of Border Security Force (BSF) Director General Raman Srivastava.
It is the first time in the Indian history that two brothers are heading the country’s two premier paramilitary forces.
Viktam Srivastava is a 1973 batch Uttar Pradesh cadre IPS officer.
Prior to his appointment, Srivastava was serving as Director General of Indo-Tibet Border Police (ITBP)
The Centre has also appointed R.K.Bhatia as Director General of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
Bhatia is an IPS officer of the 1974 batch of the UP cadre.(ANI)
