Speaker Meira Kumar to inaugurate north-east speakers’ meet today

SHILLONG - Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar will inaugurate the 12th conference of the North Eastern Region Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (NERCPA) conference here today.
During the meeting, the Manipur Assembly committee is expected to present a paper on the ground situation of the state on the socio-economic development in this insurgency plagued region.
The recommendations of the conference will be submitted to the Centre and the respective state governments.
The three-day conference will be attended by speakers and deputy speakers of all the eight north-eastern states. (ANI)
