BANGALORE - The second edition of Bangalore Fashion Week began with designer Swapnil Shinde’s gothic-themed collection.

Shinde showcased exquisite western gowns, sequenced with Indian flows and cuts. This specific collection was inspired by a lot of gothic influences. But at the same time I had to make sure that it is wearable, and it’s not too over the edge and extremely crazy.

So it was all balanced with the help of belts, there was a colour palette which was not extremely strong, but yes, the essence of the collection was to cerate a sort of haunted, romantic look,” said Shinde.

Bollywood actress Mughda Godse walked the ramp in a white gown with exquisite colourful stones on it for Shinde.

Designer Rehanne also showcased her collection of evening gowns.

The second edition of the Bangalore fashion week boasts big brands, which include Shantanu and Nikhil, Abdul Halder, Namrata G and Ramesh Dembla.

Milanese designer Claudia Antonini is also expected to launch her brand in India during the event. (ANI)
