NEW DELHI - A thick blinding fog paralysed New Delhi on Tuesday, hitting air and rail services badly.

The dense fog reduced the visibility to almost zero.

Around 50 flights and more than 40 trains were either cancelled or delayed, leaving scores of passengers stranded at the Indira Gandhi International Airport and the three main railway stations in the capital.

Road traffic was equally chaotic as the motorists tried to navigate through the dense fog.

Deendayal, an auto-rickshaw driver said, “I’m out since 7 in the morning and the fog is so dense that it is difficult to see anything. I’ve not been able to get even a single passenger so far. There have been 2-3 accidents as well. Today the fog is worse than other days.”

Several road accidents were also reported because of the fog. (ANI)
