NEW DELHI - Defence Minister A.K. Antony said on Thursday that terrorists had planned several 26/11-type attacks in the past one year but India foiled them.

Speaking to the media here, Antony warned that terror groups could attempt more 26/11-type strikes. e said that Pakistan had not taken action against the masterminds of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks and India had made the US Defence Secretary aware of Islamabad’s inaction.

Antony also said that India will remain “impatient” till Pakistan dismantles the terror infrastructure on its soil and added that it should also act against the perpetrators of the “heinous” 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

“Unless the government of Pakistan take action against those involved in heinous act of 26/11 and serious action is taken to dismantle terrorists’ outfits, the Indian people will always be impatient,” he said.

“The government and the people are not interested in any confrontation because we know we can change friends but we cannot change neighbours. Our wish is to be friendly with them. Unless Pakistan take action, forward movement is difficult,” Antony added. (ANI)
