NEW DELHI - External Affairs Minister SM Krishna on Wednesday expressed concern over another attack on an Indian citizen, saying this may impact bilateral relations between both nations.
“I am expecting a report from our High Commissioner. And after getting the report perhaps I may have something to say on this. But it is very unfortunate that they should keep repeating which doesn’t augur well for our bilateral relations,” he said.
As per media reports, a 25-year-old Indian taxi driver was assaulted by two persons in Melbourne on January 16.
Police released the images of the duo suspected to be behind the attack in the hope that people can identify the suspects from the footage taken during the taxi ride.
The attacks on Indian nationals over the past 18 months have strained ties with India and hurt Australia’s lucrative foreign student market. (ANI)
