Rahul Gandhi holds MP government responsible for Bundelkhand plight

BHOPAL - Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has held the Madhya Pradesh government responsible for the plight of the Bundelkhand region adding that the region was neglected from the beginning.
Addressing the media at the Congress Headquarters in Bhopal, Gandhi said: “I have never said that Bundelkhand should be a separate state. I had asked for the development of Bundelkhand. Bundelkhand had been badly handled by Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.”
“It pains that we are sending money but that money does not reach the people of Bundelkhand in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh,” he added.
Rahul Gandhi further said the Congress led UPA government at the Centre has taken several steps to increase the participation of youths in politics.
Gandhi, who is on a two-day tour of Madhya Pradesh, also met students in Gwalior, Jabalpur, Sagar and Bhopal. (ANI)
